The 2009 1.Liga season was unique for the city of Jurmala - the city had 3 participants in the division (Spartaks, FC Jurmala and PBLC Kauguri). In its second season in the division, the team averaged 1 point per game, finishing the season in the 12th place, avoiding relegation by 3 points.
